Representações cinematográficas do êxodo: de Cecil B. DeMille a Ridley Scott

Resumo


O tema do êxodo bíblico tem sido fonte de inspiração para o cinema praticamente desde os primórdios desta expressão artística. Tal como a maioria dos filmes dedicados à Antiguidade, porém, as leituras propostas pelos vários realizadores que a ele se dedicaram variaram de acordo com as
épocas de produção. Este ensaio analisa essas formas diversas de abordar e representar cinematograficamente o êxodo, desde C. B. DeMille (1923 e 1956) a Ridley Scott (2014).
