Afinal, o que é inovação? Um quadro conceitual pautado no estudo de estereótipos

Resumo


Considerando a relevância, recorrência e transversalidade da inovação como um campo de estudos, destaca-se a necessidade de aprofundamento teórico sobre a caracterização dessa abordagem multifacetada. Defende-se neste trabalho, que a identi cação e análise dos diferentes estereótipos da inovação podem contribuir para a clari cação do conceito, facilitando processos e também o desenvolvimento de estratégias no contexto organizacional. Inicialmente, por meio de revisão bibliográfica, fez-se um levantamento das principais abordagens da inovação na literatura científica. Na sequência, sob a perspectiva do design, foram analisadas as capas dos cem livros “mais relevantes” conforme classificação publicada na data no site Amazon.com. A partir dessa análise, foram identificadas seis categorias temáticas predominantes nos estereótipos da inovação, as quais foram posteriormente relacionadas às abordagens da inovação na literatura científica. Os resultados contribuem para o avanço da teoria e prática da inovação à medida que propõem um quadro conceitual evidenciando diferentes possibilidades de intervenção do design nesse contexto.
